Lead network pricing's role from a national perspective for United's reentry into the Individual Exchange marketplace.

Lead small and large group rate setting responsibilities for the states of WI and MI. Responsibilities expanded through the role to include MN, ND, SD, and OH.

-Responsible for profitability and pricing of $130 Million of stop loss premium across 36 states -Manage and develop team of 3 exam-taking actuarial employees and 1 intern -Implemented new underwriting methodology that eliminated individual medical questions on applications -Collaborate with sales, underwriting and product management to identify and implement improvements to the product -Organized and led 2 multi-day pricing meetings with senior management resulting in changes to optimize revenue and profit -Promoted from Assistant Actuary to Associate Actuary after 14 months -Promoted from Sr. Actuarial Associate to Assistant Actuary after 12 months

-Managed and developed team of 2 exam-taking actuarial employees-Built model to predict shock lapse as a result of the implementation of PPACA-Managed Enterprise Risk Modeling activities-Built staffing models for various operational departments
