After working extensively with global, blue-chip brands from from both agency and client-sides, I founded Life Story because I wanted to do it all differently. Better. I wanted to help create and build brands with integrity. Where their actions matched their words, and their words were more than just about buying something for a dollar, and selling it for two; or, lord help us, designed to "cut through". Where the brand itself was nothing more or less than an emanation of an organisation's culture. Where relationships with customers (B2B and B2C) were sustainable because they were built on trust. Where great ideas that got talked about in meetings actually got executed brilliantly, in the real world, and delivered results.Almost 7 years later, we've worked extensively with businesses from SMEs to Global blue-chips. We've built brands. We've created B2B commercial programmes that are still going strong 5 years later. We've helped national charities develop their donor engagement strategies. We've built websites. We've made TV commercials. And we've been so busy that in all that time, we've never had a website, because clients have kept coming back, have taken us with them as they move jobs, and have told others in their network about us. (OK, I know, we really should have a website. I'm on it.)So I guess I've at least begun to achieve what I set out to do. But I'm just getting started. Our sole business development strategy for the last half-decade can be summarised in two words: make friends. In that spirit, I'm always open to talking through an issue or a problem with anyone. We've always been generous with our time and our ideas, and in our experience it always works out well somehow.
