"A smooth sea never made a skilled sailor" (Franklin D. Roosevelt). This famous quote was first introduced to me by the Chief Engineer on my first sailing voyage in 1996. Since then it has been my mantra as it helps me to push boundaries to achieve my goals.15 years of maintaining equipment on ships and oil rigs around the world presented me with a trove of life lessons, values, skills, and the ability to think inside the box, outside the box, and even without the box!The hands-on experience and tacit knowledge gained as a Marine Engineer with Maersk helped me in my next role onshore in Singapore to improve the Asset Technical Integrity and Maintenance Management for a global fleet of 24 modern oil rigs for Maersk Drilling. During the pandemic I moved from Singapore to UK to take part in the energy transition efforts for a sustainable future, joining Worley and now Vattenfall.As a lifelong learner with a growth mindset, I studied Business and Project Management courses to complement my technical knowledge. Armed with a set of unique generalist and specialist skills, I help companies to be more efficient, effective, and sustainable within the Operations and Maintenance phase of their asset's lifecycle, especially within the area of Asset Integrity and Maintenance Management.I’m passionate about lifelong learning, sustainability, innovation, continuous improvement, mentoring, and leadership.
