With over a decade of experience developing web applications for digital agencies, Carlos moved to the UK from South Africa in 1999 to join Aspect and later LBi, the full service global digital group, as a Technical Architect. There he honed his ability to deliver innovative solutions for clients within limited budgets and timelines. In 2007 Carlos founded 73bit - a company specialising in technical web architecture and development. After architecting and leading the rollout of morrisons.co.uk, Carlos worked at Candi as CTO from 2008 until 2010.He worked full-time at 73bit developing the measurement framework service called Probench. It is a fully hosted solution with 73bit responsible for all aspects of service provision. Probench is the current incarnation of an architecture first created by Carlos in 2001. One organisation has now collected over a decade's worth of data, each iteration of the database being populated by data migrated from the previous version. 73bit was successfully sold in 2016.Carlos also consulted for the Kaldor Group, initially on their server-side tools, but primarily the Android implementations of their apps.In 2018/19 he was a lead engineer at Citymapper, managing the data team responsible for data processing, internal APIs and server infrastructure.In 2020, Carlos joined Synchtank where he is helping to develop innotative software for the music industry.
