Created and ran European affiliate of Putumayo World Music, Inc. New York. Oversaw a team of 14 employees and distribution in over 20 countries in Europe and negotiated intellectual property agreements with Dutch recording rights society as well as CD manufacturing. Created inventory management systems and sales reporting systems.

Developed a strategy, positioning PolyGram Classics & Jazz one of the key players in non-traditional retail, including museum stores and giftstores as well as coordinated the sales of CDs in concert halls for classical artists.

Created a successful international artist management and independent marketing company. Implemented and supervised the development strategies of international artists, including Grammy nominee Deep Forest, which resulted in sales of over 1,000,000 CDs in the US. Planned and executed the marketing campaigns targeted at alternative markets for several successful artists and projects, including “Trainspotting” soundtrack, Underworld and Nuyorican Soul and the soundtrack of the French film “Tous Les Matins du Monde”.

Created and directed an office financed by the French Ministries of Culture and Foreign Affairs, as well as the French recording right societies. Its role was to represent and promote the French music industry in the U.S. Lobbied successfully with the US Congress and the US labor unions to modify and relax the 1990 “Immigration Act” for temporary work permits. Secured several US recording contracts for artists signed by French companies, including Mano Negra, Zap Mama and Cesaria Evoria. Supervised and coordinated events, for 5 years, in some of the largest US music trade conventions.
