Craig Anderson is a principal research engineer at Teledyne Scientific. He is a software architect with expertise in machine learning, image processing, autonomous systems, and cyber security. As a software architect, he enjoys the challenge of developing elegant software architectures for systems having complex requirements. He is frequently tasked with implementing AI and image processing algorithms on platforms requiring real-time performance. In 2007, Craig was lead software architect for Team Oshkosh, a team that sponsored TerraMax in the Urban Challenge. The Urban Challenge is a competition that involves autonomous ground vehicles completing missions in a mock urban environment. Team Oshkosh was an Urban Challenge national finalist and ranked in the top 11 in the competition held in Victorville, CA. In 1998, Craig co-founded Security Force Software, a company that developed information security software. The flagship vulnerability scanning product, SFProtect, was developed in less than nine months and contained several innovations that enabled security policy to be automatically enforced through a centralized management interface. In 1999, Anderson guided the company through a successful acquisition by Hewlett Packard. Craig graduated with honors from the University of Wisconsin-Stout with a bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics.Craig lives in Wisconsin with his wife, 2 teenagers, and a standard poodle named Harley. He enjoys golfing and playing piano.
