I was trained and began my professional career as an attorney in general practice, and my experience in the legal field helped to hone my written and oral communication skills. As Director of Public Relations for the oldest and largest nationwide membership organization of blind persons, I now use my skills to craft persuasive and effective press and educational materials and to interface with the media to spread the organization's positive philosophy of blindness.Specialties: Drafting of press releases, reports, policy position papers, correspondence, fund-raising appeals, commercial and promotional video scripts, etc.; media relations (giving interviews, coordinating media campaigns).
