Hydra Systems Corporation corporation builds all-in-one prototyping machines that maximize additive and subtractive fabrication capabilities while minimizing spatial and budgetary requirements.I direct the company in accordance with our vision and handle day to day activities, long and short term strategic direction, refining the user experience, and many other responsibilities. We are a young, scrappy startup, so each team member wears many different hats.

I co-founded an ecommerce-based custom flag making company, and currently run day to day operations. I self-taught and became proficient in Adobe Illustrator while starting this venture, and am continually learning the ins and outs of running an ecommerce business. I'm currently the CEO of Youfory Flag Co, LLC, and mainly focus on growth strategy, business development, and brand building. However, I also stay involved with design, customer relations, and social media.

I support various technologies that 4-VA has provided on the JMU campus including telepresence rooms, prototyping equipment, and virtual reality systems. I am involved with research, procurement, set up, training, and support of 4-VA's technology with both faculty and students of the university. Additionally, I work to create innovation opportunities through managing JMU's first makerspace open to all students, JMU X-Labs. Such opportunities have included workshops, hackathons, and courses for students and faculty across the JMU campus and the surrounding community.

As a summer intern at the Shenandoah Valley Music Festival, I was primarily responsible for identifying business inefficiencies and developing innovative solutions to improve operations. Part of my responsibilities included becoming well-versed in Salesforce to collect and analyze data and better understand our customers. Additionally, I worked closely with the President on a daily basis, which allowed me understand what it takes to run a music venue and summer concert series.

I managed operations, from procurement, to testing, to sales for a small online electronics retail operation.
