Layout and design the Miami HEAT’s in-game magazine, Tipoff, for every home game played at the AmericanAirlines Arena during four NBA seasons between 2015-2019. Tipoff Magazine is an award-winning, NBA-leading, 56-page, glossy game day magazine, which is distributed to fans in attendance at every Miami HEAT home game. This free magazine presents a unique blend of basketball and lifestyle content, which features insightful information on the Miami HEAT team, the team behind the team and the facility they call home—AmericanAirlines Arena. Approximately 10,000 issues are distributed at each home game throughout the regular season. TIPOFF’s small size (5.5” x 8”) makes it an attractive keepsake for HEAT fans of all ages.

Art Department Intern Assisted with the daily workflow of the magazine, experiencing the process of a national monthly Hearst Corporation magazine. Duties included maintaining and updating the mini wall for each issue, preparing and updating flip books for the Editor-in-Chief and Design Director, photo research, preparing layouts for presentation, mounting cover proposals, and ordering art department supplies. Assisted in the Photo and Digital Department of the magazine.

Consulted and supervised layout design and logo work for weekly publication, collaborated with other department teams, and assisted in the process of launching a new website.
