My primary responsibilities as an Analyst were to conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, competitive advantages, and opportunities for growth and then develop the strategies and tactics to leverage same. Additional responsibilities included developing materials and copy for branding and marketing campaigns for client B2B and B2C programs, managing field teams as needed, and managing project deadlines and client relations.

In this role I was assigned a variety of tasks all of which supported professors within the History Department in their research and teaching. These tasks included assisting with original research from historical documents, locating and converting texts to digital files for assigned readings, and serving as an exam proctor.

As the Senior Research Initiatives Analyst for Columbia University’s Office of Research Initiatives I conducted an historical study of over a decade of research funding from the National Institutes of Health; my analysis identified trends in grant funding and best practices among peer institutions which, along with internal success metrics developed as part of the analysis, formed the basis for strategies to grow Columbia’s share of research grants by over $10 million per year.

As a field analyst I was responsible for managing and conducting JGSC Group's field research for our Community Insights projects, which included street-level analysis of retail infrastructure and inventory, client relations, stakeholder interviews, and overseeing street teams' which distributed and collected consumer survey data. From this research I was also tasked analyzing data collected in the field and summarizing findings for final reports and presentations for clients.

Serving as Executive Direct of the BID, I was responsible for developing and implementing the strategic plan to grow the customer audience, promote the business community, and recruit new businesses. During my time, I developed the BID’s social media and web presence, planned and executed shopper events to celebrate the opening of three new businesses, and attracted local press coverage of the business community and organization’s improvement efforts.
