About Christopher Olivera
I was born in Peoria, Illinois and spent my entire youth growing up in Central Illinois. I excelled academically while playing soccer year round. I always had a strong desire for business and regularly tested very high in math and science courses. I ended up choosing Bradley University for their highly ranked engineering and soccer programs. In May 2014, I graduated from Bradley University with a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. My experience at Bradley University has afforded me the opportunity to broaden my knowledge in engineering and computer software as well as expand my teamwork and leadership skills through my participation in the Men’s NCAA Division I Soccer Program. As a student-athlete, I developed a particular set of skills including a superior time management, collaborative teamwork and leadership.After college, I moved to San Antonio, Texas and started working at Oracle America, Inc as a Contracts Administrator. In this position, our main role was to validate, understand, and execute contract terms from start to finish among all parties. We worked to mitigate risk by accurately communicating corporate policies and processes for a successful contract term. The particular organization I specialized in was the License organization. This organization handled all of the contracts for new and existing software such as Oracle Database. Within 2 years of working for Oracle, I was offered the opportunity to become Team Lead for my team. I had also been able to quickly climb the ladder up the ranks for that position, from a Level 1 all the way to a Level 3 which was the highest for an Individual Contributor at that time. To add to my knowledge and expertise, I became professionally certified through the IACCM program which is regarded globally as one of the top contracts certification programs.After nearly 5 years at Oracle, I moved to Seattle, Washington where I accepted a position with Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a Senior Custom Contracts Specialist. Within 2 years of working for AWS, I was offered the opportunity to become Contract Operations Manager for my team supporting various programs such as AWS Managed Services and Enterprise On-Ramp Support. After, I moved back to Texas (Austin) and am working primarily remotely for the time being, recently obtaining another promotion to junior Contract Ops Manager as well as celebrating 5 years at AWS.
