About Chris Dolman

I help people get value from automation, data-driven decisions and AI, while managing the risks.Currently leading efforts in responsible AI at a telco, after spending almost 20 years in and around the insurance industry where I built and led teams that delivered substantial measurable value across various parts of the value chain. In 2022 I was awarded 'Actuary of the Year' by the Actuaries Institute, in recognition of my award-winning research and policy work in responsible AI and data ethics. I successfully instigated a Commonwealth Linkage project in responsible AI, and stay at the frontier of research by regularly collaborating with leading thinkers in the field. Examples of my research are shown under 'publications'.I've long been a volunteer for my profession, which I’ve found very rewarding. I jointly founded and still sit on the Data Analytics Practice Committee of the Actuaries Institute. For many years I Chaired the anti-discrimination working group and I also sat on the General Insurance Practice Committee for a few years.Contact me via LinkedIn messages.
