As a regulatory accountant, I was responsible for filing oil production reports and sending corresponding payments to state agencies in North Dakota, New Mexico, and Texas for all of our marketed oil. I also filed ONRR 2014s for all Oxy wells with federal interest. I reconciled any differences when the state/federal government disagreed with our revenue/production departments as to what our tax liability should have been which sometimes resulted in adjustments to prior periods. I also assisted in pulling data and information for audits related to regulatory payments and records. As a revenue accountant, I was responsible for uploading information pertaining to oil, gas, and natural gas liquids wells accounts; monitoring/managing variances from month to month for these accounts; and reconciling related accounts. I am also responsible for maintaining lease agreement contracts as they change or are expired as well as accounting for payments received/remitted based on these lease agreements. As a production accountant, I was responsible for running allocations for all plant related products as well as updating a production system to reflect changes to plants (adding wells, new split arrangements, etc.). I post splits to our production/revenue systems to ensure they are booked accordingly each month. I also review run tickets to ensure they are recorded properly in our production system. I am also responsible for reporting oil volumes, overhead allocations, and well counts each month for all of our business units to upper management.
