Christopher Draheim, Ph.D. Email and Phone Number
Ph.D. in cognition and brain science psychology from Georgia Tech with a minor in quantitative psychology. I am currently a Visiting Assistant Professor at Lawrence University, where I teach courses within cognitive psychology. My research interests/expertise lie within the study of individual differences in executive functioning. I have several published articles and book chapters in top-tier outlets, for example first-author publications in Psychological Bulletin, Perspectives on Psychological Science, Psychological Assessment, Psychonomic Bulletin & Review, and Journal of Experimental Psychology: General.I have a strong background in psychometrics, psychological statistics, and psychological testing. My Ph.D. minor was in quantitative psychology and the graduate-level statistics courses I took included multivariate statistics, psychometric theory, structural equation modeling, and item response theory. Several of my first-author and co-authored papers concerned psychological measurement, test validation, and other aspects of psychometrics. I also was a graduate-level intern with U.S. Naval Research Lab in Washington, D.C., working primarily in a psychometric capacity on data analysis, test development, test design, and literature reviews. Part of my research both at Georgia Tech and the NRL was directed towards improving psychological tests used in personnel selection for employers and the military. I am also interested in test development and selection from the perspective of reducing test bias/adverse impact and improving test equity. My wife is a clinical psychologist who recently began a tenure-track position at Lawrence University in Appleton, WI. We are hoping to permanently settle in the area or elsewhere in the Midwest (particularly Michigan as my family live near Detroit).Currently looking for long-term employment and am keeping my options open as to whether it would be in academia, industry, or government as I’m almost equally interested in research, teaching, and psychometrics (particularly data analysis and psych testing). Can provide contact information for references upon request.Graduate webpage with (slightly outdated) CV is still up at https://englelab.gatech.edu/chris
