I’m a Professional Airline Pilot who’s always had an Entrepreneurial approach and a keen interest in Business. Currently I am employed by Virgin Australia Regional Airlines and am in the process of completing my Captains training on the Airbus A320. My Aviation experience includes 26 Years in the Aviation Industry in Australia, spanning East coast to West Coast. Commercial flying operations from small aircraft charter and instruction, search and rescue through to transport category multi pilot jet airline operations. I hold a Grade 1 Instructor Rating and have a strong background in training and instruction. I have currently been employed with Virgin Australia Regional Airlines (formerly Skywest Airlines) for the last 16 years. My previous experience here includes the last 4 years as an Airbus A320 First Officer, 4 years as a Fokker 100 Jet Captain along with holding positions of First Officer, Captain and Simulator Check and Training Captain on the Fokker 50 for 7 years.Unfortunately like many, I was heavily impacted by the Covid 19 pandemic during 2020. I was stood down from my Airline Job and lost 100% of my business customers overnight. Although it was hard, it also taught me to be stronger, more resilient, adaptive to change and most importantly, very appreciative for what I have!Becoming a pilot 26 years ago in Australia forced me to be very entrepreneurial with ways of accumulating hours as I was starting out as an inexperienced pilot. This entrepreneurial attitude has definitely stuck and has paved the way for my long time passion and involvement in businesses both locally and abroad. I am currently running multiple businesses here in Perth along with interests abroad. On a charitable note, after living in the Philippines for 6 months during 2013 and 2014 and being privy every day to the poverty affecting the children there, I founded ‘12 Days of Christmas Manila’, a not for profit organization with a mission to help the street children of Tondo; one of Manila’s poorest areas. Through self funding and donations from friends and family, we are able to feed and clothe up to 300 children for breakfast with an aim to do this at least 1 day per month every year.
