Ensures that MCAH and IVP practices and programs at the local level are enhanced through NACCHO’s activities. Sustain an effective knowledge base of current MCAH and IVP programs, policies and priorities among practitioners. Contribute to the professional development of NACCHO members through providing direction and oversight to the development of trainings, resource materials, communications and other information development and dissemination.Serve as lead staff for NACCHO’s Maternal, Child, and Adolescent Health/Birth Defects Prevention (MCAH/BD) Workgroup and Injury and Violence Prevention (IVP) Workgroup, or delegate responsibilities to appropriate individual(s), including: development of policy statements related to MCAH and IVP, development of the framework and strategy for NACCHO’s MCAH and IPV projects, and establishment of priorities and goals for the work.
