Experienced in several technologies and management methodologies, I bring almost 30 years of combined IT and Telecom Infrastructure experience to the AT&T for Shell team. As an AT&T Project Manager I am involved with almost all aspects of the profession after the creation of the Project Charter. Mainly concerned with delivering within Scope, Budget, and Implementation constraints, maintaining all associated documentation, managing changes and risks, and oversight of resource personnel, PMs also rely on their knowledge of the various technologies and protocols their assigned projects require.Despite previous experience in both IT and Telecom, assignments here have expanded my technical knowledge base to now include Cisco Call Manager VoIP Phone Systems, Portable Satellite Communications, and Implementation of Specialized Communication solutions for remote oil refineries and rigs. My industry knowledge also now includes energy trading compliance, energy facilities physical and cyber security procedures, and site safety regulations imposed by governmental and corporate entities. Significant projects at AT&T include Gulf Coast Hurricane Preparedness where we deployed portable BGAN satellite terminals for use as emergency IP connectivity at multiple Shell Oil remote sites. Cisco IP Telephony (VoIP) and Etrali/IPC Voice Recording Upgrade program of projects was a big budget program of projects designed to reduce telecom recurring costs by moving to VoIP at all of the client's remote sites for several hundred users.A major power plant’s Data Center Relocation project involving the physical relocation of LAN/WAN/Security equipment, network connectivity, and applications. This project’s complexity was increased by Federal Security Guidelines, forcing my team to obtain FERC CIP training in order to implement the design. At AT&T I look forward to becoming certified in new technologies such as SDN and NFV, using new PM methodologies derived from Agile concepts.
