I am a recent graduate from Kent State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies in addition to two minors in Writing and Psychology. I am fascinated by the different facets of communication — tone, setting, computer mediated communication, body language, gender and power dynamics — and how each changes the meaning of our interactions. Throughout my communication courses, I have learned how these facets produce both effective communication patterns and how they can work against each other to produce ineffective communication patterns. I have applied these different communication interactions in my customer-service oriented jobs, and now I’m working to apply these skills in a cooperate communication setting.
