The Focus Group (TFG) is a full-service advertising, marketing, and PR firm headquartered in Biloxi, MS. I served in the capacity of Creative Director and later as Executive Creative Director for TFG, from its inception in 2009 (first hire) to August 2019. I provided leadership in the overall vision and brand development for TFG, assisted in business development efforts including its pitch team, and lead its highly-effective creative department, crafting award-winning brand strategy for each of its local, regional and national clients. My primary role was to determine the creative vision of each brand or project and manifest that vision through traditional, digital, interactive, social and guerrilla strategies – evaluating each touchpoint ensuring the proposed direction was cohesive and on point. I also help assemble the proper team members to provide results as well as helped establish budgets, timelines and assisted in managing client relationships. During my tenure, the creative produced helped to attract new business and earned numerous industry awards from the Public Relations Association of Mississippi and the American Advertising Federation (local, regional, national level) including multiple Best of Print, Interactive, Broadcast, and Show. I was consecutively named Art Director and Creative Director of the Year and was also awarded the prestigious Silver Medal for Excellence in Advertising for contributions to the industry.
