▪ Assist and lead integrated annual audits of publically traded companies in various industries including oil and gas, manufacturing and construction and non-public companies in private-equity, banking, and healthcare.▪ Assist and oversee testing of internal controls of both public and private companies.▪ Review weaknesses and suggest improvements to internal audit groups and management on methods to enhance internal controls in place.▪ Collaborate with engagement team in planning, which includes assessing significant and fraud risk.▪ Perform and review internal control and substantive testing along with quarterly review and year end procedures.▪ Report to engagement team executives regarding any key findings and recommendations to improve the quality of the audit.▪ Provide guidance and supervision to staff regarding proper audit methodologies.▪ Mentor staff on both strengths of their performance and ways to improve performance and progress within the firm.▪ Strong understanding of accounting and auditing principles and quality control standards.▪ Effectively communicate to company management regarding audit or internal control findings.▪ Strong understanding of operational and control environment of public companies.▪ Delegates responsibilities and assist staff and provide status updates to executive while managing own tasks.▪ Assist with the nature, timing, and extent of the testing needed to address the risks.▪ Perform the scoping of the audit.
