Security Officer
CurrentWe are deemed First Repsonders on the White Mountain Apache Reservation. My duties are to ensure the publics safety and over monitor and protect millions of dollars materials and property. I currently manage a team of 25 five Security Officers full time and part time including 4 dispatchers. Part of my daily duties enforce a Zero Tolerance Policy ensuring No drugs, alcohol and illegal activity. I also test homes for any contamination from Methamphetamine using Accumeth test kits. I am also a certified Taser instructor and body camera instructor with Axon. I am also a certified Field Training Officer. We work/assist other Agencies such as Bureau of Indian Affairs, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Emergency Medical Services, local Fire Department, local White Mountain Apache Police Department, Indian Hospital Services, Department of Corrections and other outside Agencies. I have started as a part time Security Officer and made my way to Full time Sergeant Security Officer and Fourth in command within the Security Department. I patrol and ensure the public safety. We also respond to 911 emergencies calls from White Mountain Apache Police Department dispatch us when all other Police Officers are busy and if assistances are requested. I am also certified to use and carry Pepper spray, Handcuffs, Batons.
