Through our work, Transportation Alternatives brings a number of reforms including: • Livable street improvements to underserved neighborhoods in The Bronx• Engagement with elected officials to secure public investment• A build-out of shared mobility networks (i.e. Citibike, Revel)• Social events, such as the largest free bike race in the United States• New York State reviews of our underutilized waterfront• A redesign of commercial corridors and high-traffic routes• Sustainable infrastructure to improve access for all recreational users• Collaboration with law enforcement to ensure appropriate traffic laws

The Bartow-Pell Mansion Museum, the last remaining 19th-century estate in the Bronx’s Pelham Bay Park, is a cultural and educational institution that serves the broader New York City community. The Bartow-Pell Conservancy works to preserve and maintain the historic Greek Revival mansion and carriage house, as well as the museum’s collection, its gardens, and the surrounding landscape, and to interpret the site’s history with innovative and dynamic educational and public programming for schools, adults, and families.

Our goal is to help students develop the intellectual curiosity, academic ability, social values, and personal resilience they need to ensure success in school, career, and life. The Thinkubator exists to train, educate, and connect Bronx youth to work-based learning experiences, employment, and educational opportunities. Youth are connected to businesses, nonprofits, elected officials, and government to partake in our US democracy and impact change. We seek to prepare diverse, low-income youth from the Bronx to succeed in the workplace and the world. The Thinkubator aspires to a world where young people from the Bronx are trained, educated, and powered to bring their voice to business, organizational, societal, and world challenges. So far we have seen 800 internships provided by Bronx-based companies to Bronx youth (2018-2020), 37 businesses engaged and focused on youth talent development while providing work-based learning experiences to Bronx youth, and 54 Innovators (students) hired through The Thinkubator Solves program to provide solutions to real world business and public sector challenges.
