Developed a unique small-animal adaptive single photon emission computed tomography system (AdaptiSPECT) under the supervision of Dr. Lars R. Furenlid.• Designed the imaging aperture and all its mechanical components (including motion controllers, pneumatic shutters and shielding for the system).• Prepared all the mechanical designs for manufacturing. Used various manufacturing techniques such as machining, casting and metal 3D-printing.• Integrated the system with the help of two undergraduate students.• Designed various electronics and controllers.• Developed algorithms using LabVIEW, C, CUDA and Matlab to control the imaging system, acquire data, and reconstruct tomographic images.

Performed simulations for the design of a Yb-Er co-doped fiber amplifier using Matlab.

Developed interferometric tools to monitor the fabrication of probes for a confocal micro-endoscope.Tested fiber bundles used in the micro-endoscopic probes.
