Cecil is an educator and trainer with extensive global experience who has been providing education and training in network, Internet and security related courses for over 25 years. He has been involved in Internet training and support from the initial AARNET (Internet) days in Australia and co-authored the first guide to using the Internet in Australia, “Getting the Most out of AARNet”. Cecil worked for many years at the Queensland University of Technology as a consultant in the ITC Centre and as a lecturer in the School for Data Communications. He was the training manager for APNIC (the Asia Pacific Network Information Centre) and following this, worked for Team Cymru, an internationally known Internet security research company, as their global training practice manager. Cecil has engaged extensively with, and provided training to; corporations, national certs, international and national law enforcement agencies, government agencies as well as industry network and security professionals
