Industrial Pretreatment Program

Responsible of the Industrial Pretreatment Program. Monitor compliance of industries with the Industrial Pretreatment Program regulations and procedures established by contract limitations, Industrial Waste Ordinance and the EPA. Maintain and review permits, applications, self-monitoring reports and laboratory data. Conduct investigations concerning industrial discharges and point of entry compliance with Industrial Waste Ordinances and Federal Categorical discharge limitations.

Perform technical review of requests for exceptions to public water supply requirements specified in the Texas Administrative CodeEvaluate corrosion control recommendations and studies submitted by licensed professional engineers and other water supply professionals.Perform geological and hydrological studies and identify potential hazards to public water systems requesting exceptions.Review and interpret geologic maps and cross-sections, engineered drawings and plats, or other subsurface or surface information.Evaluate data and analysis of issues, and preparation of reports and recommendations.Ensure approval of exceptions include conditions necessary to protect the safety of public health.Meet and maintain measured work standards with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.Provide technical assistance to consulting engineers, city, and county officials, water system owners and operators, agency staff, other government entities, and the public.Perform additional related essential tasks to maintain production workflow.

Develop programs and provide services to Texas educators (K-12 and university faculty) to support and advocate for geography education. I have helped the Alliance branch out to Spanish speaking audience by translating Esri’s geoinquiries that provide geography related lesson plans for students. Currently working on projects that help facilitate teacher’s teaching by generating an interactive Advance Placement Human Geography outline that aligns with TEKS standard. I additionally assist with any workshops, events, projects, etc.

As a Latino Engagement Consultant, I will be directed under the Interpretive Services branch of Texas State Parks performing various duties directly associated with engaging and enhancing the Latino/a community in outdoor recreation and education by working on specific projects with some of the Texas State Parks. Assist in the educational and outreach programs that will occur in the Spring of 2018. Engage in translation services where needed to accommodate and welcome the Hispanic community in outdoor opportunities.

As Program Assistant my duties included in helping the Program Directors with programs that focus on beautification, litter prevention, and recycle. Some of these programs included managing the Keep Texas Beautiful Waterways Project, Don't Mess with Texas Event, and annual Keep Texas Beautiful conference.

Weekly collaborated ideas for future lesson plans with coworkers and head of KidTech that promote creativity and critical thinking.

Organized and planed a 10-week environmentally focused summer program with lessons and activities that correlated with educational themed of the week. After the program, children began to be more environmentally conscious, and practice their knowledge at home and with their friends.
