About Cecilia Elam

Together with some of Sweden's best orthopedic surgeons in the field I work with prevention and pre-and post-surgery rehabilitation in the foot.In my researching field I investigate to what extent one of our greatest threats to the development in public health, inactivity, has on maximal skeletal muscle power, if functional performance can be a predictor of deteriorating physical fitness and if exercise (mainly in form of strength training) appear to stimulate neuromuscular function and results in muscle mass retention at old age.
