Served as the primary liaison for Substance Abuse & Mental Health Services Administration cooperative agreement program evaluation involving advancing health equity related to evidence- and practice-based children’s mental health programs. Provided expert technical advice in program planning, solicitation, and evaluation of the administration and management of mental health program functions related to public health grants and interagency cooperative agreements totaling over $9 million.

Served as Program Manager with 2 direct reports to oversee and evaluate for the ALS Surveillance Project. Conducted strategic planning, designing, implementation, and program management. Applied behavioral, social science and systems theories to identify innovative approaches to program implementation.

Served as a Public Health Apprentice in a 3-year public health training program through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention including the following areas: (Year 1 – Chronic Disease, Year 2 – STD Prevention and Year 3 – County Health Department Administration). Developed, designed and implemented STD prevention and educational programs. Documented and prepared analyses for reports of findings, statistical measures, tests and studies. Acquired over $1 million in new grant funding for local health departments. Coordinated and conducted public health outreach across youth, adult, and elderly populations. Represented health department interests at local, state, and federal meetings and conferences.
