I decided to transition to COSTCO to better my opportunity for management. When I did I stepped down as Head Cashier and took on a part-time cashier position to maintain benefits. I still assist management by filling-in at times as an acting head cashier and helping to drive excellent customer service.

As a Head Cashier I led a team of at least 25 cashiers. I provided training in the areas of point of sale (POS), credit card enrollment/ processing, and trained new head cashiers. Served as an acting Assistant Store Manager when called-upon for customer complaints, closing of self-service tills (key holder responsibility). Was successful at decreasing external theft by organizing a proactive team approach of customer service that resulted in recoveries in excess of $35,000.

As a part-time cashier I increased both consumer and commercial credit account enrollment from 10 applications in a day to more than 30. I was recognized financially and with certificates at the store and district level for my efforts.
