• Manage a federal software project in the Medicaid Enterprise. Lead a 4-6 person team using open source coding practices, including regular commit/pull request review, issue filing, branch management, and release deployments. • Represent the company and projects to clients on regular and ad hoc project status meetings. • Keep projects on budget and on-schedule, determining roadmap, priorities, and managing stakeholder expectations throughout. • Present products to potential groups of users with live demos and project roadmap explanation. • Schedule and lead team and individual meetings on an as-needed basis. • Estimate effort for new features and enhancements to applications. Budget and set work plan for future phases of work on multiple projects. • Interview contractors with a focus on team fit, experience, and an eye to future opportunities. Make hiring decisions as part of executive team.

I worked with small teams to build web applications in Django and Node JS and managed 1-3 other developers. While not coding, I researched and helped write reports on open source best practices for governmental agencies, non-profits, and corporations.

I designed, developed, and supported MySQL/PHP web-based applications. My team worked on projects for community organizations, researchers, and administration. We increased data capacity and literacy for 5 small community organizations through a LISC Chicago project on which I led development work.
