I pitched and wrote local news stories weekly, often adding my own photos, videos or sound bites. I used Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and other programs to create graphics for data-driven stories. My fall quarter crime report won first place for best infographic at the California College Media Association Awards in 2017.My work also includes a profile of two actors who starred in "Cheaper by the Dozen," a multimedia package on the fastest solar-powered car in existence and an interview with a student working in the sex industry.

Central Coast Salmon Enhancement is an environmental nonprofit dedicated to maintaining the health of the Arroyo Grande creek watershed.I managed CCSE's Facebook and Twitter accounts, curating and creating content while growing our online audience. I also developed fundraising campaigns for email and social media, wrote stories for our monthly email newsletter, contacted local media members with press releases and designed flyers for events.

I wrote about two articles per month on topics including feminism, travel, health, music and culture for Her Campus's Cal Poly chapter.As an editor, I edited 6-8 articles a month and held workshops with my writers, helping them develop pitch ideas and writing skills.

ChannelMeter is a PaaS (Platform as a Service) for YouTube Multi-Channel Networks. It provides backend MCN technology powering talent/creator portal, rights management/claims analytics, talent discovery, and partner revenue distribution.As the only writer on staff, I created a new blog for ChannelMeter and drove the company's content marketing and PR efforts. I analyzed data and wrote articles about trends in YouTube data (focusing mainly on data from Multi-Channel Networks), pitched story ideas to online video journalists and wrote a news release announcing the launch of the MCN software.

My sophomore year of college, I tutored students in an intro geology class. I offered different study strategies, helped them prepare for exams and followed up after their tests to make sure my techniques were effective.

I helped teachers instruct children in German through speaking, singing and other group activities.
