Supported the Current Analysis and Production (CAP) Branch. Wrote numerous products for the Secretary of DHS and other DHS senior leadership on current and emerging national security threats as well as parallel products for state and local partners. Coordinated daily intelligence products throughout the Current Intelligence Division and with other departments and agencies.

Provided direct support to the Secretary of Homeland Security and Under-Secretary for Intelligence & Analysis. Assisted the Senior Intelligence Analyst and National Operations Center (NOC) through rapid collection, analysis, and dissemination of current intelligence cables at the Unclassified, Secret, and Top Secret/SCI levels as well as monitoring global events affecting the Homeland. Prepared briefings and other materials for the DHS Chief of Operations and NOC desk officers on current intelligence matters. Participated in Secure Video Telecommunication Conferences (SVTCs) and conducted cross-talk at the TS/SCI level with intelligence community member agencies.

Supported the ODATSD(NM). Served as Deputy Team Lead responsible for task management, oversight, and POC for SES government lead and other CNT government personnel. Primary tasks supported establishment of CNT as a DoD focus area and development of CNT architecture effort. Current work in DoD and across the interagency addresses many pieces of the nuclear threat, but these efforts are fragmented and uncoordinated. The CNT effort within ODATSD(NM) aims to develop an overarching strategy and framework for DoD prevention, protection, and response activities across the entire spectrum of the CNT mission. Prevention refers to work before the adversary has acquired a weapon or special nuclear material (e.g. nonproliferation, deterrence/shaping, and international engagement); Protection refers to work after adversary weapon acquisition but before employment (e.g. counterproliferation, interdiction, elimination, and render safe); and Response refers to work after adversary employment of a nuclear device (e.g. emergency response, forensics, and attribution).Other tasks included supporting nuclear weapon and radiological accident and incident response planning and incident exercises, support for ODATSD(NM) participation in the Nuclear Weapons Accident Incident Response Subcommittee under the Nuclear Command and Control System Committee of Principals and relevant working groups; performing analysis of developments in DoD and interagency policy; attending and reporting on meetings and workshops; assisting with drafting, coordination, and publication of DoD guidance; developing briefings, training materials, and presentations for DoD and interagency audiences; attending think tank and academic events and congressional hearings and providing reports to the customer; and other support as required.

Assisted with research, primarily in military and political developments regarding China, Taiwan, and the U.S. Developed and began implementing a system for making documents in one location available to Foreign Service Officers in another location over both secure and unclassified networks. Assisted with other tasks as required.
