Proviso is an online registration system for efficient planning, communication and implementation for all types of events. For event managers, conference planners, meeting organizers and others, it is an efficient tool to facilitate planning of smaller meetings to larger congresses and events. I implemented Proviso at Courtyard by Marriott Stockholm, instructed the sales team, was responsible for trainings and administration of customer support for Sweden and Norway, as well as sales and production of events in the system.

At Courtyard by Marriott Stockholm, continuing to work for Scandinavian Hospitality Management as a Project Manager for Operations, my position included assisting the General Manager with different projects and assignments, to serve as a supportive link for Reservations, Housekeeping and Front Office. I assisted in certifying the hotel for the Green Key, an environmental program, and I also carried out the certification process for a Fire Certificate by Safehotels for the hotel. Continuously, I was also working with a new conference reservation program, an online system that assists in handling attendee registrations for events and conferences at the hotel. Moreover, I was responsible for certain Human Resources aspects, primarily in terms of recruitment, development and training of employees. I completed the Essential Training Skills for Marriott, a certification allowing me to hold trainings for our employees. Operations Manager for Stockholm Hotel Lindhagen, an apartment hotel with 143 rooms, with total responsibility for the operation including ongoing supervision and training of employees, managing the front office operations, reservations and guest service satisfaction. Furthermore included management of the housekeeping department, maintenance management as well as monitoring the hotel premises and to maintain and improve routines around safety-, quality- and environmental aspects. I was also responsible for cash management, wage payments, invoicing and processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable as well as all other financial transactions. Stockholm Hotel Lindhagen was operated under Scandinavian Hospitality Management, a hotel management and development company that operate Marriott hotels in Scandinavia under franchise agreement.

I advanced from my previous position and was appointed as Project Manager for new hotel openings working closely with the Chief Hotel Officer, i.e. the Hotel Manager for all hotels in Sweden. I assisted in the opening of StayAt Malmö Kaptensgatan, a hotel with 243 apartments, which opened in February 2009. This included everything from applying and registering for operations permits and legal contracts, procurement of contracts for housekeeping and breakfast suppliers, recruitment and training of personnel, setting routines and standards, and introducing Housekeeping. During my time at StayAt Hotel Apartments I also introduced a colleague, the Operations Manager for StayAt Göteborg Mektagonen, and assisted during the opening of that same hotel. In addition, I was responsible for administering, planning and managing the hotel chain’s Guest Evaluation Survey Program, an online survey for each hotel. In March 2009, I opened StayAt Stockholm Lindhagen, a hotel with 143 apartments, and continued as Operations Manager for that same hotel. My responsibility included planning for and executing the opening of the hotel, recruitment and training of employees, organizing the front office, setting routines, introducing the housekeeping team and setting standards for the breakfast restaurant. The operational responsibilities further included ongoing responsibility for results, budget, property management and maintenance of the hotel, front office operations, housekeeping, human resources administration and employee supervision as well as regular communication with suppliers and partners. Furthermore, I supervised on site routines regarding safety, quality and environment and was also responsible for the guest services satisfaction at the hotel, reporting and following up on guest surveys and guest complaints.
