Research and development of the Hillsborough County Redevelopment Program based on the Board of County Commissioner’s plan for revitalization, holistic growth and enhanced economic vitality. The pilot program is focused on retention and expansion of industrial, manufacturing and commercial office properties. The program includes grants for expedited plan review, permit & impact fees, contaminated site remediation, infrastructure, interior and exterior improvements. As Redevelopment Coordinator, I've met with with over 50 private sector business owners and developers for partnership through the "Redevelopment Incentives for Pilot Project Areas" (RIPPA) program. My primary duties are to market the program, meet with business owners and monitor the application, contracts, agreements and reimbursement process. I was responsible for multiple projects in various stages of completion -from start to finish. To date, we completed 7 projects, approved another 8 agreements with an encumbered balance in excess of $2 million in grant funds and over $21 million in private investment.
