I fell in love with tech in my compsci class as a freshman at the U of I. Coding was magical, logical and powerful. I knew I wanted to bring joy and value to people’s lives through tech and community. After two years in engineering and consulting, I dove right into entrepreneurship and co-founded Coder Kids, an after-school coding studio for kids K-8 in McLean, Virginia. We taught thousands of kids to code, from drag-and-drop coding fundamentals to data science and cryptography. Yup, we were teaching 12 years old Caesar Ciphers and they loved it.In 2019, I exited Coder Kids and opened Escapismo, a physical escape room, rated the most high-tech escape room in Chile by El Mercurio. In March 2020, we closed the doors due to the pandemic and in early 2021, I transitioned full ownership to my dear Chilean friend and the original manager of the physical escape room. Escapismo is now a B2B virtual escape room experience for companies looking to hire and motivate their employees. Since then, I’ve been building and shipping products as a growth product manager in grocery AI and fintech. Today, I am leading the referral program across three global markets for Tala, where we lean on data-backed experiments to drive our decision making. Outside of work, you could find me playing board games with my family (Tin Goose is my favorite), playing pretend with my youngest, cuddling with my teenager, and nightly walks with the love of my life, my hubby.
