“Bolsa de subproductos” is a waste resource platform provided by the General Council of Chambers of Commerce of Catalonia. It is aimed to promote the reutilisation of waste as secondary raw material by supporting its exchange between enterprises. Responsibilities and achievements:• Support the promotion and the development of the international "Landfill Mining Conference" undertaken on the 18th/19th of October 2017 in Barcelona: content publishment and conclusions report.• Plan, organise, edit and write part of the monthly newsletter.• Increase the promotion of the published offers/ demands through social media: twitter.• Contribution to the website improvement: edit, write and add English version of some useful contents• Enhance users’ competiveness through the research and the selection of international business opportunities through the Enterprise European Network (EEN).• Provide desk-based research to support different European projects such as “Innolog”, “Caronte” and “Towards a unique waste resource platform”.

Grupo Fenix works with rural communities in Nicaragua to promote renewable energy, reforestation and sustainable development. The programme undertaken allowed me to work closely with experienced engineers and support staff developing and implementing sustainable energy solutions to rural areas. The principal activities in which I was involved were: • Conduction of practical research into appropriate energy technologies.• Support community self-determination and local responsibility for the projects.• Increase of the technical skill level and employability of local people.• Improvement of health and living standards of families and communities.• Preservation of natural resources.

The aim of the organisation was to obtain a report with more information about the flood risk management strategy in Italy, including the social, physical, legislative and practical contexts. Therefore, the various aspects of the flood risk management in Italy have been investigated, by specifically understanding legal, political and practical implication of the EU Floods Directive.The learning outcomes include: • Experience of research. • Increased knowledge and understanding of FRM within the context of a research project.• Experience of working day-to-day in a research environment, both independently and with others.• Developed skills in undertaking desk-based research in a process of critical analysis and writing.
