About Cecilia Milesi

Cecilia is a Latin American sociologist and Senior professional working in the interconnected fields of human rights, participatory and emancipatory research and policy-making, conflict transformation, and South-South Cooperation for over 25 years. She has worked in multiple countries in Latin America, Asia, Africa, and Europe.Cecilia is an Asia Global Fellow with the Asia Global Institute of the University of Hong Kong and a Fellow of the Global South Unit for Mediation, BRICS Policy Center, Brazil. Cecilia is a guest lecturer of the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (FLACSO Argentina, International Relations Department) and leads training for leaders and professionals supporting social and policy change around the world, including through the United Nations Staff System College (UNSSC)Cecilia plays leadership, facilitation, research, and advisory roles at some of the most renowned organizations around the world: several United Nations agencies (UNOSSC, UNDP, UN-Women, UNSSC, UNV), Amnesty International, Oxfam, Conciliation Resources, CDA Collaborative Learning, Interamerican Development Bank, Islamic Development Bank, VSO, the Commonwealth Secretariat, Ford Foundation, Save the Children, Womanity Foundation, among many others.
