I am a passionate, extroverted and committed shaper - of projects, initiatives and teams. I thrive in uncertain situations, and enjoy learning by doing and approaching problems creatively. After completing my Engineering degree at Stanford University, I decided to explore the intersection between business and impact. My work experience in the impact space ranges from Corporate Social Responsibility to starting my own small social venture in Guatemala. My work in both resulted in being selected as a Global Shaper for the Guatemala city Hub (an initiative of the World Economic Forum). In 2017 I completed an MBA from the Haas School of Business, where I continued to nurture my love for entrepreneurship. I helped create our school's first Fintech Club and participated in the Lean Launchpad program, among others. After graduating I returned to Guatemala, my home country, where I joined Nahual Ventures as a partner, where I work alongside entrepreneurs and engineers to create scalable companies and exceptional products. One of the companies born out of Nahual Ventures is Fri, a fintech startup that revolutionized the payments space in Guatemala. There, is served many roles, and primarily focused on processes, operations, relationships with partners, and finance. In 2021 I took on a new challenge as I joined asistensi, an insurtech that offers accesible health plans to those who need it most, as the regional director for Central America. From our offices in Guatemala, I am responsible for launching and growing our presence in Honduras, Guatemala and soon, El Salvador.
