Profile bio

About Cecilie Melau

I am an ambitious and structured generalist with a holistic System Engineering mindset and a Ph.D. in biochemical research. This combination allows me to focus on the high level perspective while acknowledging the importance of details. Three Key Notes about me:I am driven by transparent communication, securing alignments within the team and the organization. I believe this is not only the best way to lead a team, but also the best to face important challenges head-on. Always keeping a holistic perspective in mind for both people and product life cycle when analyzing causes and discussing proposals with the team and stakeholders. I am a highly VISUAL person, and I use this actively when facilitating workshops, creating project overviews, and communicating important decisions - In my experience, explaining complicated things in a simple way results in a more focused discussion in cross-functional teams and creates clarity for taking the best decisions. I believe in reflections followed by fast actions to drive ongoing improvements and finding a step-by-step way forward in the team when facing challenges. Small changes leading to continuous improvements based on data collection, feedback and retrospective learnings are therefore an important part of my daily work.

Listed skills include Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Lifesciences, Mammalian Cell Culture, and 20 others.
