New venture into something I've wanted to do for 30 years.After officially retiring and finding myself almost completely sedentary with little to do, I stumbled into something that I have wanted to be involved in since I was in my 20's. I found a partner who had decades of skills in luthiery, a common interest, and common values. I have learned a great deal from him in this venture. I have been able to apply what I have done for other companies to our collaboration. I think we compliment each other in this team. I still do the electronic stuff, build the website, develop the databases for logistics and sales. I capture the video and level the noise to something useable, edit what goes on the website, and work the marketing stuff. I get to solder the pots and switches, find the vendors, and buy the stuff to make our instruments.I get to cut wood (with supervision) and work on the tools. But most of all I get to play the works of art that we create. It is truly art. These guitars are simply pleasing to the eye and they sound amazing. They are unusual in that we are using woods that others aren't thinking of, such as reclaimed pine and sassafras. Our instruments are based on history. Our vision is for the future.
