Cecily Joseph is a board member and former sustainability executive recognized as a thought leader and influencer in social and environmental responsibility, ethics, and equity. She has propelled two leading technology companies to award-winning status by inextricably melding values-based culture into their corporate identities. As a respected advisor and board director, Cecily promotes ethical leadership and good governance. Cecily is on the Board of Directors of Mercy Corps, a global NGO humanitarian organization. She is a board member of As You Sow, an organization focused on advancing corporate environmental and social responsibility, and As You Know, a privately held, knowledge-based company providing actionable sustainability data and tools. She also serves as adjunct faculty and advisor at the Presidio Graduate School. Cecily was Vice President of Corporate Responsibility for Symantec Corporation, a global leader in cybersecurity, and also served as its Chief Diversity Officer and the Global Head of Ethics and Compliance. Previously, she was with Veritas Software, where she led legal affairs, philanthropy and community relations. Cecily served as the Board Chair of Net Impact, the world’s largest student organization among MBAs focused on a just and sustainable world, as the Chair of the Board of Directors for the UN Global Compact Network USA, and as a board member for various California focused non profits including Leadership California, the Housing Trust of Silicon Valley, Ruby’s Place and Abode Services. She was also on the Advisory Council for sustainable construction company, Mighty Buildings, and on the Advisory Board for the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB). Cecily is committed to leveraging her passion and experience to champion values-based leadership. She continues to advise and influence on responsible and impactful outcomes.
