- Review and recommend reimbursements for the development of public works.- Assist with ADA pedestrian curb ramp review and selection.- Assist with concept design calculations for roadway drainage.- Determine conflicts in jurisdictional policy for the Stormwater Group.- Managing AECOM Projects certification, 2016; extensive work as a Deputy Project Manager.

Thesis work: I applied theoretical and computational (MATLAB) analysis to study vortices in Surface Quasigeostrophic flow, an idealized model for large-scale geophysical flows. I presented findings at internal meetings and national academic conferences. Articles published in peer-reviewed journals. M.S. awarded in Fall 2012, PhD awarded in Spring 2016.I also served as president of Graduate Women in Science and Engineering (GradWISE) during the 2013-2014 academic year, and am a co-founder and co-president of Women in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. Both groups work to provide professional development and support for women in these male-dominated fields. In my leadership roles I enjoyed deciding the group’s direction and leading the coordination of events.This interest led me to apply to the Gordon Scholars program a UC-San Diego, which trains promising leaders in engineering, and the Micro-MBA course through the Rady School of Management at UC-San Diego, which provides an overview of topics and principles that would be studied in an MBA program.Through my leadership experience and these two programs, I further learned how to be an effective communicator, and how to recognize and manage different people’s personalities and work styles when they come together on a team.

- In pursuing my interest in science policy, I sought out a project outside of my thesis work with Professor Jennifer Burney of the Global Policy & Strategy Department at UCSD.- I used data statistics to evaluate how measurement errors propagate in interpolation or aggregation analysis.

- Consulting project through the Advanced Professional Degree Consulting Club at UCSD on Farm Technology Market Strategy.- Researched crops to determine intersection of high value and preventable complications. Determining appropriate pricing of a remote sensing technology.- Results were implemented in SLANTRANGE’s marketing plan

- Researched San Diego regional sustainability issues and present data and policy recommendation in a brief overview as part of the annual Quality of Life Dashboard publication.- Oversaw two other fellow's research and results.- Acted as a point-of-contact for designers in the final stages of publication.- Performed independent research in order to produce a policy brief relevant to sustainability in the San Diego region, published on the Center for Sustainable Energy blog.

- Part-time Hydrodynamics Intern position applying mathematical modeling to study waves behind a submerged moving body.- Results presented at national conferences. Collaborated on articles published in peer-reviewed journals.
