As one of two Directors of Recruitment, I was responsible for communicating with the counselors from every high school in the state in order to register more than 200 high school sophomores to the annual seminar. This volunteer position included assisting with fundraising, marketing, branding, business communication, and managing other volunteers.

Throughout my time at Cracker Barrel, I progressed to a Par IV Server, as well as a Skill Trainer. My responsibilities included welcoming new employees into the workplace and working with trainees to develop customer service skills and basic restaurant knowledge. As a Par IV Server, I was often called upon to help maintain focus in the front of house during peak periods and maintain a leadership role among coworkers. I was also cross trained in multiple positions from host to prep cook.

I worked with another Director to oversee an internship program designed to create a gateway to underclassmen and other students interested in becoming involved with WVUSGA. We facilitated approximately 50 interns, from the application process to the fulfillment of their contractual duties. This included assisting the interns to find opportunities with which to engage, connecting with University personnel, and serving as a resource for each of them.
