Oct 2004 - Apr 2008NATO! was a rather feeble attempt to start a professional English Theatre company in the very international city of Bremen in Germany. Unfortunately, there wasn't that much English media, so only the German newspapers made announcements. Leaflets are a waste of time in any place and the German-speaking citizens of the above mentioned city preferred supporting the local footy team, rather than attending the theatre (which incidentally led to five theatres closing down after the public funding was cut).So from fringe to TIE... which worked out for a while, until funding was cut in the educational sector as well and we were literally being asked to perform for free.The company dissolved shortly thereafter and a small selection of members now does dinner theatre together.
