Cedar is an ambitious leader, freelance writer, social work student and spoken word performer visiting and residing on the territories of the W̱SÁNEĆ and Lək̓ʷəŋən Peoples. Cedar is Isga (Stoney Nakota Sioux) from Treaty 6 territories. She has turned her challenging experiences into unparalleled resilience and powerful motivation to influence change. As of 2024, she is a student at Camosun in the Pre-Social Work program. When they are not studying, Cedar focuses on writing projects. They are currently working on a personal memoir, a collection of their poetic work, and occasionally takes on freelance writing projects and spoken word gigs within the arts community. Thus far, Cedar’s published works have been exclusively published by Vancouver’s SAD Magazine.
