Lead GoPro's Software Engineering organization, which is responsible for our direct to consumer business, camera control and multi-platform media experiences.

Cloud Engineering is responsible for API services, front end web experiences including gopro.com, E-Commerce, and business intelligence and analytics systems.

The CTO organization is responsible for technology strategy, platform architecture, solution design and product management. As a senior executive, I was actively engaged in corporate strategy, business development, and represented MobiTV on industry panels and interviews with research analysts and press.

As Vice President Technology, I worked closely with the executive team and product management to set the technology direction of the company. I was responsible for evangelizing and driving the execution of this strategy, designing key aspects of the MobiTV platform and defining solutions that met customer requirements.Accomplishments- Led the design of MobiTV's converged platform for multiscreen services.- Evangelized the need for a multi-platform DRM solution. Subsequently defined, designed and delivered on that vision. MobiTV's DRM solution has been in market for 4+ years and is now part of every deployment- Acquired TV Studio and Movie Studio approvals for the use of MobiTV's DRM on multiple platforms- Designed MobiTV's co-browsing and remote control capabilities for the converged platform - Set a course to move from RTSP streaming to HTTP delivery and delivered on a stateless, CDN friendly streaming technology that supports adaptive streaming and fast channel change across multiple platforms- As Technology Evangelist, played a lead role in acquiring business from multiple tier 1 operators.- Designed and delivered a service supporting in excess of 1 million concurrent video streams.- Defined MobiTV's strategy for Set Top Boxes. Established relationships with SOC vendors, OEMs and built support for three different STB platforms.

As Sr. Director Platform Engineering, I was responsible for product management, design and delivery of the media related components of the MobiTV platform. This included:- Media Delivery Servers- Media Player- Content Management System

- Design system architectures for MobiTV’s NextGen products- Work with Product Management, Carrier Partners to define product features and release plans- Responsible for deployment of MobiTV’s mobile products- Manage J2ME, BREW and infrastructure engineering teams- Subject matter expert on wireless carrier networks, vending and billing infrastructures- Support Sales and Biz Dev efforts. Analyze customer requirements and propose solutions. Accomplishments-Successfully delivered an upgraded Sprint TV service as part of Sprint's EVDO launch- Successfully delivered MSO TV for the Sprint/MSO Joint Venture- Designed a system that allowed MobiTV to quickly integrate with Sprint’s vending and subscription management systems without impacting the carrier’s systems.- Deployed carrier grade software supporting in excess of 2 million subscribers across three continents
