Developed and used ray tracing software for concentrated solar thermal performance analysis.Directed finite element analysis and testing of exercise equipment then provided guidance to improve product reliability.Managed the design of a low-cost housing project for a startup company, then followed up with the construction of two projects in India.

I independently started a business to develop medical image processing methods to create unique 3D renderings of ultrasound data. Using few resources, drawing consultants where necessary I built every aspect of the company from 3d point cloud and mesh processing techniques to distributed client-side software, to the interactive sales website and interfaces to Sub-Surface Laser Engraving manufacturers. Some technical challenges and lack of a sufficient market led me to concede the effort.

I founded the systems integration team to solve company-scale problems for eSolar’s solar thermal power plant. I was responsible for all requirement management and development from plant to component level. I developed unique heliostat testing methods using 3D stereo camera systems. I wrote design and proposal documents while working with business development to communicate technical information. I held project management responsibilities to lead the design of the company’s reference power plant.

I developed a multi-point radio interface using microcontrollers and MATLAB between a remote control helicopter using the global positioning system, a ground station, and a laptop.

For the explosion dynamics lab at caltech, I independently built a 5kJ lightning strike simulator capable of 30kA, 10kV, which was used to test carbon composites used in Boeing’s 787 Dreamliner aircraft.
