I am a computational biologist and I work as a bioinformatician linking 2 complementary domains: biology and informatic.My education and my experience make me an efficient bioinformatician, with strong knowledges and skills in biology, especially in genomics and genetics, and with good skills in development to implement new methods and tools to analysis large volume biological data.In my current position I am a scientific expert, managing and exploring data, and leading project development.As a scientific expert, I mainly work on variants and genome comparison. With the new sequencing technologies, the volume of variants has exploded. This hugh data volume needs to be managed, validated and made available to downstream tools.This data volume is also an opportunity to explore, analyze and create knowledge to better understand plant genome and improve breeding. That's why I am interested in all selection process which allows to optimize and accelerate the variant selection process (haplotyping, SNP tagging, distribution algorithms, association genetics, etc).I also work in the genome comparison and pan-genome. Innovate and investigate the genome structure, build pan-genome at the whole genome level (not only transcripts) is a big challenge with lots of complexity.Due to the release of lot of complete new plant reference genomes for a same species, the complexity to manage all these new references and the data transfer/connection between these references is complex, and pan-genome seems to be an alternative to manage, explore and provide high value.My other role is project lead and I use my expertise in bio-informatics to manage and lead R&D project.This role is greatly interesting because I can interact with different teams (informatics, scientists, breeders) to drive project, manage project from end-to-end, and deliver new tools or systems needed by the business.In addition, I also like to train, share and manage master 2 internship and contractors. Passing on my knowledge and sharing experience are also values that I like to do in order to allow people to grow.
