I supervised customer service and food production areas of my McDonald's restaurant. As a manager in the food service industry, I strived to set a good example for my fellow managers and crew members to provide a safe, respectful and inclusive working environment in the dynamic and often stressful industry that is food service. Some of my various responsibilities include: - Training employees and enforcing relevant COVID-19 and other health department regulations to ensure a safe and sanitary environment for customers and employees. - Leading production and service employees in meeting and exceeding customer expectations of speed and quality of service. - Training employees on procedures to develop safe, sanitary, and efficient habits to improve productivity and preparedness and to minimize ineffective, wasteful and potentially harmful practices. - Ensuring all relevant labor laws for minors and adults are adhered to including managing breaks in a timely manner for up to 20+ employees with various shift lengths and lengths as well as all working restrictions for minor employees determined by state and federal laws, as well as work permits. - Overseeing the training of employees and managers-in-training in all stations to improve the restaurant’s capability as a whole and to aid them individually in qualifying for future promotions. - Review and often supplement schedules for upcoming shifts to ensure sufficient staffing to meet projected or expected sales
