Drilling Extended Reach multilateral wells in the Shaybah field for Aramco on a turn key basis using 4 ZPAD drilling rigs. Setting up the operation.Drilling horizontal ERD multilateral turnkey wells for Aramco in Saudi. In charge of drilling department including engineering and HSE. Setting up the operation hiring Drilling and HSE Supervisors, tendering and contracting, writing well drilling programmes and Drilling Operations Manual.

Planning and executing onshore exploration wells in NE Germany. Drilling operations halted due to moratorium on frac-ing. Rig: KCA-Deutag Rig 208.Setting up the operation including Well design, AFE, tendering for rig and services, hiring staff.

Planning, tendering and preparing for 8 deep HTHP Yamama appraisal wells in the Rumaila field near Basra. In November 2011 the Yamama HPHT project was cancelled indefinitely. Thereafter acted as stand-in for regular ROO Superintendent running 2 2000HP Bohai rigs and looking after the LSTK work done by Schlumberger.

For Delcuadra, assisting in frac-ing operations on a deep HPHT tight gas well in Hungary

For Sonoro Energy planning the operation, including AFE, Drilling procedures and guidelines and tendering for shallow oil development plan in Saladin, Iraq. Work performed at Sonoro HQ in the Netherlands

Drilling oil exploration wells onshore Yemen in Block 4 with 2 ZPEB (Chinese). Operations definitely halted in April 2011 due to political unrest.

Planning and execution of long horizontal oil wells ERD with compact rig (Saipem AZ5820) on offshore platform. H2S and CO2 with chrome completions. Performed all planning including Basis of design, AFE’s, tendering, HAZOP, DWOP, wrote Operation manual with guidelines and procedures.

Drilling delineation wells on Doba field with rig 291. 4x4 weeks rotation.

Drilling and completion of one extended reach development well onshore (gas) with Deutag/KCA Rig 2000, and one offshore well (oil) Netherlands with the JU rig Ensco 85. P&A of complete Rijn field platform with 11 wells. Initially performed all planning activities including Basis of design, AFE’s, tendering, HAZOP, DWOP, Operation manual with guidelines and procedures. Then was appointed Drilling Superintendent for the execution of the project

Assignments as drilling supervisor in France (Vermilion), Drilling Superintendent onshore Bangladesh (BGFCL), offshore Malaysia (Petronas).

Slim-hole onshore exploration well in W Australia (Canning Basin) using a helicopter transportable hydraulic rig deploying ‘continuous coring’ technique. Multi-well exploration programme in the Timor Sea with the semi-subs Ocean Epoch. Sedco 701, Ocean Voyager and Ocean Bounty. This included the Kelp deep exploration well to 5500m in 800 m water depth.Initially performed all planning and engineering activities including Basis of design, AFE’s, tendering, Hazop, well design and programming, wrote detailed operation manual with guidelines and procedures, HAZOP, DWOP. Then was appointed Drilling Superintendent for the execution of the project.

Exploration well offshore Vietnam in block 22 with drill ship Neddrill 1. Deviated appraisal well onshore Thailand, Block SW1A. Three 12,000 ft. HPHT wells, two offshore and one onshore in Bangladesh. Set up the drilling operation from scratch. This included all well engineering, Basis of design, AFE’s, tendering, well design and programming, detailed operation manual with guidelines and procedures, HAZOP, DWOP.

Commissioning of two Self Elevating Tender Rigs, Searex 11 and Pelaut, prior to taken on long-term contract with Brunei Shell Petroleum Sdn. Bhd (BSP). Updated the BSP Drilling Operations Manual.
