Cees van Wijk (1953) studied Dutch Language and Literature, Philosophy and History at the University of Amsterdam. As an employee of the Dutch Organisation of Scientific Research (Organisatie voor Zuiver Wetenschappelijk onderzoek) he undertook historical research on the avant-garde review i 10 and wrote the first academic studies on the International Review i 10. Van Wijk has collaborated on international cultural manifestations on modernity and avant-gardism, and in 2009 was guest lecturer at the Bauhaus Dessau. Since 1989 he has been a lecturer at the School of Communication & Media of Inholland University, and was associate lector of the research centre CBRD from 2004 to 2010. As a member of Logeion (Branch Organisation of Communication Professionals) he reviews books and advises on topics like reputation management, issues management and competence-based innovation of the professional education system. As a specialist of media-studies he wrote De Media-Explosie. Trends en issues in massacommunicatie: the fourth revised edition of this Dutch handbook has been published in 2011. Show less
